When we were green screening, I found it easy to position ourselves correctly in front of the green screening, making sure we weren't too close or too far from the screen. It was also a lot easier than I expected to remove the green background on Final Cut Express and insert the background that we actually wanted.
Something I found difficult about green screening was making sure that every part of the green background had disappeared, especially around the outline of the person in the frame. One thing that I need to improve on is making sure that when I take the pictures initially, the whole of the person is in the frame so the top of their heads are in the shot.
Green screening can be used in music videos to make the artist look like they are in a location that relates to the lyrics in the song. One genre of music video that could use green screening could be Narrative, to create a location to the story, spectacle, to give a certain quirky atmosphere and performance, to change mood depending on the lyrics and tone of the song.
I could use green screening in my music video to build a different atmosphere and to create a location that links to the lyrics and mood of the song.
