This video is really creative and different from all her other ones. It is very simple as its just filmed in her hotel room which kept the costs low. Her dancing is edited so its in time with the beat for example when she claps. The reversing techniques is also used several times like when she drops her hat. As this music video is so random with the location and all the props used it does not make sense which makes people want to carry on watching it to see if the themes change. In our music video we could use the reverse technique or repeat clips to show a replay of that moment in time. We could also use random props to make it more interesting and creative grabbing the viewers attention so they want to watch it to the end and watch it again.
Skrillex and Diplo ft Jutsin Bieber - Where are U now
This music video is also very creative and different from any others as its unique and individual to the artist. The main editing technique in this video is an animation. Justin Bieber is in front of a white screen which has green screened drawings around him and on him which change every 3rd of a second. They are all different and represent different things through their colours. At the beginning the viewer sees a photo on a wall which is black and the camera goes through to reveal a black ground in which light increases from the black and Justin Bieber appears. This is a clever idea and I think it would be beneficial to our music video and would work with our theme. We could also use their animation technique to display the characters thoughts and emotions instead of showing them through cinematography.
