Record Labels

Alien8 Recordings founded in 1996, signs artists of the Indie Genre. They would be a good record label for our artist as they are relatively new and so would up to date on what audiences like in a music video. However our song is in the Indie pop genre and they only sign artists of the Indie genre.

Bluebird Records founded in 1932, signs artists of the Jazz Genre. This record label was created a long time ago and signs artists of the Jazz genre so may not be able to identify with our audience as our song is in a different genre.

Country Turtle Records founded in the 1970's, signs artists of the Country Genre. This company was created fairly recently but signs artists of the wrong genre so would not be an appropriate record label.

Dependent Music founded in 1994, sings artists of the Indie Rock Genre. This company was established more recently and so would be able to produce a video that current audiences would like. However they sign artists of the rock genre which are song is not part of.

Erato Records founded in 1993, signs artists of the Classical Genre. This record label was also established fairly recently but they sign artists of a different much slower genre so their audience would not be suited to our song.

Capitol Records founded in 1942, signs artists of Various Genres. I think this record label would be suited for our song as we believe the genre of the song is indie rock, but the label takes on artists of various genres. Our song is a mix of slow and fast so this record label would be perfect as it doesn't doesn't sign artists of a specific genre. They have signed Sam Smith and Emeli Sande who produce slower songs like the song we have chosen.
